The Crisis Support Team relies on On-Call Advocates to provide effective short-term support and crisis assistance to victims of crime and tragic circumstance. A comprehensive screening process and ongoing training for employees ensures that victims are assisted with dignity, respect, compassion and empathy.

Requirements:
- must be 18 years of age or older
- genuine interest in, and awareness of issues surrounding victims of crime and tragic circumstance
- cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
- ability to handle crisis situations and to provide sensitive and confidential service to victims
- acceptable Criminal Records Check
- willing to complete 40 hours of minimum standards training and ongoing training and development.
